Oreodont Skull Sp.Merycoidodon culbertsonii Locale Brule Formation, South Dakota Age Oligocene Epoch 38-23 Million years ago size 7 1/2 " long by 5" high The Oreodont was a sheep sized plant eater from the Oligocene Epoch. It would have been found grazing in herds amid the grasslands and prairies of North and Central America. Although similar in size and appearence to modern day sheep it is thought to be more closely related to the Camelids. This skull is a very nice example that is well preserved and has only minor restoration . Price $2100
